Biography - Andrew Harrison piano tuner technician 

Andrew studied piano tuning at Newark Technical College. At sixteen hew was the youngest student ever accepted. Newark is now recognised as Britain's centre of excellence for piano tuning, maintenance and restoration. During the three-year course he gained a distinction level City and Guilds in tuning, a merit in restoration and a Merit Diploma in piano tuning, maintenance and repairs.

Upon completion of his studies in 1984, he accepted a post with a long-established retailer in Rye, Sussex looking after customers in East Sussex and West Kent. Some of his early customer included Sir Paul McCartney and The BBC Concert Orchestra.

After becoming self-employed in 2005 he was offered the opportunity to study in Leipzig under Ingburt Haessler Bluthner.

2011 saw the start of his association with Coach House Pianos, now one of Europe's foremost pianos houses. Initially sourcing instruments for his customers and more recently being invited to become their senior technician restoring, servicing and preparing their premium instruments prior to sale. These include Bosendorfer, Steinway and Yamaha pianos.

Andrew is now considered one of the country's top piano technicians. He is fully occupied looking after his customer here in Susses and tuning for some of the world's finest pianists. In addition to spending one week per month working with Coach House Piano in Swansea, he is the resident tuner technician several notable events and organisations:
